Pacifiers, naturally comforting for your baby

For many babies sucking is a soothing experience. It’s instinctive—most infants are born with a strong sucking reflex, so a pacifier is a natural, familiar source of comfort.  Here are a few other things to keep in mind when considering a pacifier for your baby:
  • If you’re breastfeeding, consider the pacifier that mimics the shape of your nipple..
  • Ortho-Pro® pacifier is designed to not interfere with your baby’s natural oral development, while allowing them to self-sooth.  So if you’re worried about a pacifier affecting your child’s teeth, go with a pacifier designed to help promote natural oral development.
  • It’s easier to wean a child off a pacifier than it is to break a thumb-sucking habit because your child’s thumb is always available.
